It seems like we have some sort of holiday just about once per month. If you’ve ever been facing a Mother’s Day or your wife’s birthday with no idea what to get her, then no doubt you are acquainted with "true terror." 

The stress mounts as the day draws nearer and you keep asking yourself, "Oh God! What am I gonna get for my mom/wife/girlfriend?" This is a common scenario experienced by many men. Rule #3: Don’t procrastinate! I cannot stress the importance of Rule #3 enough. The moment you’ve been made aware that a special day is coming up for your wife/mother/girlfriend, proceed at once to the nearest mall or department store and buy her a gift. As stated above, women’s watches make great gifts, so that will make the shopping much easier.

Drive to the store or mall and walk directly to the ladies watches counter. Ask the friendly clerk to help you. You can be a hit at the next graduation ceremony simply by observing the above rules and applying them to the graduate in your life. Your whole family will admire your thoughtfulness and your mother-in-law might even begin to tolerate your presence and acknowledge you as a member of her family.

You can be a hero at the office. The next time someone says, "Oh dear, next month is Mildred’s birthday and she’s been here 20 years. What are we going to get her for her birthday?"
